The WATCH_DOG app runs entirely on your Android phone with no additional hardware required.

Using your phone's built-in WiFi and Bluetooth radios, WATCH_DOG passively scans for the wireless networks commonly used by modern police vehicles and provides proximity alerts when police is detected nearby. 

Audio notifications can be routed over Bluetooth, making WATCH_DOG perfect for helmet headsets like Cardo and Senna, earbuds, and Android Auto

Digital Delivery

This is a digital download. After purchase, you'll receive watchdog.apk via email for sideloading onto your Android device.

Installation requires enabling Install from Unknown Sources in your Android settings.

A privacy policy is included within the app.

Notes

Detection range is more limited than the dedicated WATCH_DOG hardware because the app relies on your phone's internal WiFi and Bluetooth radios.

Actual range will vary depending on your phone model, protective case, nearby obstructions, and surrounding environment.
