What It Is
The Laser Scrambler is a motorcycle-specific LIDAR jammer that proactively counters incoming laser signals — it doesn't wait to be locked on. It skews LIDAR readings by 20–40%, masking your true speed, or completely jams speed readouts for maximum protection.
Why It's Different
- Proactively counters incoming Laser/LIDAR signals
- Skews readings by 20–40% — 100mph reads as 80mph, or no reading at all
- Included sticky mount fits naked and full-fairing bikes
- Discreet installation
- Water-resistant performance
- Does NOT affect radar signals
Why Most Departments Don't Use Laser/LIDAR
- Line of Sight: Laser requires a clear view of the vehicle since it operates in a straight line
- Good Weather: LIDAR can struggle in rain, fog, or heavy snow due to light scattering
- Stationary Use: Most LIDAR guns are handheld or tripod-mounted because they need stability for accurate readings
- Open Exposure: Laser/LIDAR cannot be used through glass (car windows), which is why it is primarily used by motorcycle officers rather than patrol cars
- Cost: LIDAR guns cost significantly more than radar units and can't be used in the above situations
Important
- Made to order — build time is 7–15 days
- No federal laws prohibit laser jammers, but several states have enacted bans. Check your local laws before use.
- Infrared lasers are invisible to the naked eye but can cause severe eye and skin damage. Avoid direct exposure.
